  • Specifically with Grendle's mother, what do you think the role of women was at that time? How would grendel's mother be frightful to that society?
  • What monster's scare you? What are monstrous traits?

  1. I love Beowulf but I LOVED Gilgamesh from ancients. It was one of my favorite reads!

I let the kids watch scenes our of King Arthur with Clive Owens and Keira Knightly (spell)- there are some GREAT scenes. some might be too gory but there are still some good ones!

The series MERLIN show in my opinion too much but again there are some good scenes.

We also watched THE Sword and the Stone- not my favorite movie but standard for the time periord.

My kids LOVED The Green Knight ??? I am blanking if that is right but I think so. It is not Lancelot but another night of the round table and I am totally blanking.

We also watched First Night (parts of it)- the scene of Sean Connery showing Gwenevere "her kingdome" cant be beaten and again Lots of neat scenes.

    LIKE YOU NEED IDEAS!!!!
Sorry it is a sickness I cant help myself!

Do you get to the HAgia Sophia or is that in 3---they are all running together in my mind right now!
